GLP is a managerial concept covering the organizational process and the conditions under which laboratory studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded and reported. In this context, the World Health Organization has identified six institutes including Vector Control Research Centre, Puducherry for Establishing Quality Management Systems for GLP accreditation for evaluation of vector control products.
Mission: To ensure and promote safety, consistency, high quality, and reliability of data in the process of evaluation of vector control products, in order that the test facility is GLP compliant.
Vision: As a facility, we are committed for providing the highest quality to our clients and to do this efficiently and economically. We will strive to be innovative in the GLP ecosystem
To ensure and promote safety, consistency, high quality, and reliability of data in the process of evaluation of vector control products, in order that the test facility is GLP compliant. Besides, to have in place the basic elements of GLP in terms of personnel, facilities, documents and test and control articles. Concurrently, develop written procedures (SOPs) for different procedures/assays/tests and establish a computerized system validation. Periodically, train/orient the scientists, technical personnel towards acquainting with the principles and significance of GLP and thereby apply these principles in the test facilities of the centre and be able to analyze, interpret and report laboratory data.
