Dr. Paramasivan, an arbovirologist, having 27 years of research experience in the field of vector borne diseases (VBD) in India, particularly mosquitoes, ticks and his current area of research interest is development of innovative, indigenous, cost effective, field adaptable, rapid diagnostics and novel vector control tools for the prevention and control of emerging Vector borne diseases of zoonotic importance in India. His future research area of interest includes the pathogen discovery using NGS tools.
